Terrance “Terry” Brenna, 77, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021, in Tufte Manor in Grand Forks.Terrance Richard Brenna was born on August 1, 1944, in Grand Forks, ND the son of Willard and Ione (Block) Brenna. He was raised in Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School. Terry went on to attend the University of North Dakota and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. He moved to Minneapolis, MN and was employed as a Recreation Counselor with a Boy’s Club in Hennepin County. Terry married Christina Severson in Minneapolis. They moved to Fresno, CA and Terry was employed as the Bureau Director of Substance Abuse for Fresno County. Later, he became Financial Director for Kings View Behavior Health Systems in Fresno. Following the death of his first wife, Terry married Adele Balbas of Madera, CA, with whom he spent many years until their divorce in later years. Terry returned to Grand Forks and practiced Real Estate for many years until his retirement. Terry was an avid reader and enjoyed being with his friends and engaging in spiritual and political discussions. He is survived by his son, Bruce Brenna, Fresno, CA; his brothers, David (Joanne) Brenna, Longmont, CO, Robert Brenna, Dickinson, ND, James Brenna, Grand Forks, ND and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Christina and a brother, Mark Brenna. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel. Family Greeting: One hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Tuesday. Interment: Evanger Lutheran Church Cemetery, Grand Forks County, North Dakota.
