Donald   graduated  from UND in 1966 and went to work for the J C Penney Corp.  He eventually became  manager  of a large Penneys store in  the Chicago area.  In 1981, in order to have a slower-paced life,  he quit Penneys and opened  a clock sales and repair business.  (I believe he had learned clock repair from his father.)

He was killed by a drunk driver on March 31, 1982.
