Renee Peterson

Renee (Triske) Peterson, 69, was reunited with her husband John, parents, and brother in heaven on Saturday, February 15th, 2014 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Renee Triske was born on August 12, 1944 to Frank and Shirley (Wenner) Triske. She grew up and attended school in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School in 1962. In 1964, a pajama-clad Renee went to visit her older brother Richard at the gas station where he worked. It was here that John Peterson offered Richard a nickel to introduce the pair, and the two began their love story. John and Renee were united in marriage on April 17th, 1964 in Grand Forks, ND. The couple resided in Hatton, ND, before moving back to Grand Forks where Renee was a homemaker. They had two children, Kellie and Danny. The couple spent 46 wonderful years together. They enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing, visiting with their wonderful neighbors out on the deck, and especially spending time with their grandchildren. John passed away on July 13, 2010. In later years, Renee was blessed with her great-grandchildren, Damien and Tayven who undoubtedly owned her heart.

Renee will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, quick wit, and distinctive laugh. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Renee is survived by her daughter, Kellie (Aaron) Rygg of Grand Forks, ND, son, Danny (Mary) Peterson of Lisbon, ND; brothers, Randy (Irene) Triske and Brad Triske, and her sister, Cherie Triske, all of Grand Forks. Also her three granddaughters, Kori, Allie, and Kacie, and great-grandchildren, Damien and Tayven, and also her beloved dog, Annie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, parents, Frank and Shirley Triske and her younger brother Richard Triske (USMC, Vietnam, killed in action 6/2/68).

Renee's personal wish was for no funeral to be held.

No Services are Planned
