Alvis Amble

Alvis B. Amble, 70, Grand Forks, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at home.

Alvis Bruno Amble, the son of Adolph and Berget (Sannes) Amble, was born on October 29, 1944 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He was raised and educated in Grand Forks,and graduated from Central High School. He attended UND and Aakers Business College. Alvis was employed by Rydell Chevrolet in Grand Forks and Sannes Farms during harvest seasons. He was a devoted caregiver for his parents for many years.

Alvis enjoyed old cars and motorcycling. He very much enjoyed visiting with his family and many friends.

Alvis is survived by a host of family and friends including a special friend, Laura Sandahl of Grand Forks. Alvis was preceded in death by his parents.

The family has requested that memorials in Alvis’s memory be given to Walle Lutheran Cemetery Fund.

Funeral Services: 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 in Sharon Lutheran Church, 1720 S. 20th St. Grand Forks with visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the funeral in the church.
Interment: will be in Walle Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Thompson, North Dakota on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 3:30 p.m.

I recall frequent visits with Alvis - a guy I always respected, and appreciated as a South side neighbor (we lived just a block and a half from one another).  Lots of fond memories were created with the circle of friends from the old days in "The Forks",
